Courtney created this cute "congrats" card to give out to some of her graduating students this year. The card has such a clean and crisp look to it. I like the flowers in 3D with the brad centers and stitched stems. The card has lots of texture. The punch at the bottom looks great with the white behind it too.
I have another new designer joining Purple Onion Designs. Please welcome Jillian Foster to the design team! Jill has a really fun blog called "Inspired By". Each week Jill features a new artist and shares some of their card creations. Jill then does her own take on each of those designs. If you need a little motivation or inspiration then check out her blog and give it a try.
Here are two wonderful cards that Jill has created. This first card is my favorite. All the stamps work so well together. The colors on the butterflies graduate beautifully and pop against the monotone background.
More butterflies! Everyone loves this set. They are perfect cut out and adhered to a card in 3D. Adding some pearls to the bodies give them a little pizzaz. Stamping backgrounds is one of my go to techniques and the "Thank You" looks great.
This is one of my favorite layouts from Jenn. I have been questioning recently if I had ever posted it. I just quickly went back through my blog and I don't see it! Maybe I was holding off initially because she was going to submit it for a call? Anyway, this layout uses the Road Trippin' stamp set just the way I envisioned while I was creating it. It is such a fun layout!
I love all the diecut shapes of layouts over the past few years. How perfect is this!
Ok, seriously now. How stinking cute is the torn cardstock exposing the map underneath?? Oh wait, it gets better...the red flag Jenn added to mark their destination. Brilliant! My other favorite part is also shown here. Love the "Road Trip" repeatedly stamped.
I think the string of cars stamped all random is adorable. It makes the car stamp really fun.
This is seriously such a great set for scrapbooking summer vacations. It would make for a fabulous mini album too. There are so many other great stamps on the site to pair up with Road Trippin' as well. Just look at what Jenn did.
I have another talented designer to introduce you to today. Please welcome Joy Taylor as the newest member of the design team! Joy's clean, crisp designs and her beautiful coloring immediately caught my attention. I am thrilled that she will be joining us.
We have a new design team member joining us. Please welcome Hilary Kanwischer! I first met Hilary several years ago when she was on the design team for Self-Addressed kits. Hilary joined us over the holidays with a few creations. Hilary's wonderful cards are often found in CARDS magazine (not to mention the cover). Make sure you book mark Hilary's blog. She often posts some really fun non-paper craft projects. My most recent favorites are her polymer clay vintage candy canes. The lollipops here and here are also pretty cute. Or maybe these are more your style.
