On the 8th day...

On the 8th day of December we have a card from me!  I had to finally get my hands on the Trim-a-Tree store and whip up a card.  It is hard to tell from the photo but all the little lights on the store are glittery.  I used a clear Stardust pen to color them all in which compliments the glitter border around the white panel.

I also have a guest designer joining the design team for the holiday season.  Here is the first two cards from Cherry Nelson.  Cherry has a wonderful shabby vintage style.  Wait till you see all the glistening projects she has created.  Welcome Cherry!

The next two cards are from Donna.  Her coloring makes me happy.  I am sure you will agree after seeing the cards.  Two more CAS cards a la Donna.  The first card is Reindeer Ben from Stephanie Ackerman's new Winter Kids Collection.

On The 7th Day...

On the 7th day of December we finally start to share some holiday inspiration!  Yes, finally.  There has been so much going on here.  The late release of the Heidi Grace Kress & Hometown stamps along with the sale have been taking up most of my time. 

I absolutely love this adorable card from Donna!  It is perfect for all you CAS (clean and simple) card makers.  The mix of stamps work perfectly.

One of Jenn's signature styles is the aged brown shading she uses on so many of her cards.  Sometimes it seems a little untradtional like on this next card but it always works so well!

Jennifer H. has been doing a bit of bright coloring these days.  She also has fun with the Copic Colorless Blender creating patterns within her colored areas.  This is how she achieved the subtle polka dot background around the snowman.

A little altering of a stamped image can give it a new look or use.  Joy did just this with the Snowglobe stamp.  She cut off the bottom of the image making it a round winter scene.  The added glitter along the roof and snowlines make it look like glistening snow.

Take a tip from Julie if you don't always have the time to create a card when you need one, if you get stumped for ideas or if you just love the way a card turned out.  Create a series of cards using the same stamps, papers and embellishments but mix up the design.  Julie will very often create 2, 3 or 4 similar cards.  It is such a smart idea that we probably all should do more.

Annual Holiday Sale & More New Stamps!

Jingle, jingle...

It's time for our annual holiday sale.

Guess what?  There is more!  More new stamps and some exciting news.  I decided not to wait till after the holidays to offer a few more stamps in Stephanie Ackerman's Hometown Collection.  I absolutely love these stamps.  So, unfortunately no samples yet.  I'll share a few but you can view them all here.

 

 

Now for some even more excitement!  I am thrilled to announce that I will be adding a new line of stamps at Purple Onion Designs.  Heidi Grace is launching a new line of products under the name Heidi Grace Kress in 2012.  We will be offering her adorable designs in rubber stamps!  The first collection of stamps are here in time for the holidays (and the sale!).  Here are a few peeks but you can see the entire assortment here.
