How is everyone enjoying this cold winter weather? It is a bit warmer here today. They say it should get up to about 36 degrees. This weekend will bring another arctic blast. What fun!
I thought this project by Linda was perfect to help take the chill out these cold winter days. Linda made these decorative packages for hot cocoa packets.
How cute does Willard look drinking his hot cocoa?
You can see how the hot cocoa packet sits inside in the photo below.
You can change up the stamped images to make these perfect for different occasions. This could be a cute project with the kids for Valentine's Day! I know my daughter always made cards for her classmates. This would be a fun twist.

Supplies:

Artificial Snow
Cardstock for stamping 5” x 5” (white)
Cardstock 4” x 4” (red)
Cardstock 5”x 12” (red)
Cardstock 5” x 1” (brown)
Cardstock 5” x 2” (white)
Patterned Paper 5” x 2 ¼ “
Patterned Paper 5” x 1”
Adhesive
Circle/Scalloped Circle Cutter
Tag Punch
Snowflake embellishment
Rhinestones
Border Punch
2 packages of drink mix
Step 1:
Stamp # MCWS on white cardstock. Color using preferred method. Copic markers
were used for the sample.Step 2:
Cut out colored image in a 3” circle. Cut a coordinating scalloped circle from the4” x 4” piece of cardstock. Adhere scalloped circle to back of image circle.
Step 3:
Adhere artificial snow to colored image. Set aside to dry.
Step 4:
Using the 5” by 12” piece of cardstock, score at 1”, 6”, and 7”. This forms the envelope. The 1” fold forms the flap of the envelope.
Step 5:
Adhere the 5” x 1” patterned paper strip to the inside of the envelope between the6” and 7” score lines. This forms the bottom of the envelope.
Step 6:
Use the border punch on the 5” x 2” (white) cardstock to make a border for the flap.Adhere the punched border under the 5” x 1” strip (brown).
Adhere the 5” x 1” strip with border under patterned paper. Allow ¼ “ of cardstock (brown)
to show. This forms the base for the outside flap of the envelope.
Step 7:
Adhere outside flap to 1” flap on envelope.Adhere stamped image scalloped circle to middle of outside flap.
Embellish flap with snowflake and rhinestone.
Step 8:
Stamp #EDMM on white cardstock. Cut out with tag punch.Adhere to lower front of envelope. Embellish with rhinestones.
Step 9:Adhere mix packages to inside of envelope with double sided tape.
