Darien created these layouts using the Damask Background stamp as well. Look at how bold the backgrounds are in black ink. The black & white photos of her and her daughter along with all the flowers give it the perfect feminine touch.

Several posts back I mentioned that the "Let's Get Shabby" blog was celebrating their first birthday. You can read about it here. Now the girls are about to do a little Birthday Bash Blog Hop. There are various prizes to be won. Here are the details from Julie:

to host a Birthday Bash Blog Hop! Over the next
few days you will find a question along
with a photo of a rak you could be in the running to win on the blogs of the 'Let's Get Shabby' design team and this month's guest (Sharon Ong) and sponsor (that's me!). There are 9 blogs in total you can visit (you will find the design team blogs listed on the 'Let's Get Shabby' blog).
So what do you need to do? Post a comment on the Birthday Bash Blog Hop posts on each blog and you will go into a draw to win the rak posted on that blog.
You will then need to find the answer to the questions posted on each blog (don't post the answer there!!) because you will need to gather all the answers and email them to Julie [email protected] in one email by midnight TUES 13 July (Aust time-so check the clock at the top of our LGS blog if you are not sure).

This layout from Ronda is full of elements, texture and softness. The background stamps are subtle on the page and add an element of softness. I especially like how the Damask Background stamp looks on the textured cardstock. The yellow ribbon is so pretty laid out across the page. As is the circle of pale yellow flowers.

This next card from Joy is fabulous! It is one of my favorite cards from her thus far. I absolutely love how creative Joy was in using the center of the Citrus stamp for the flower head. Brilliant! The colors are so vibrant and gorgeous. The background colors are just as yummy. I love how they fade into one another.

Hilary used the Birthday Noteblock to make this cute card and gift basket. It is similar to the baby set she did here. The tinsel and glitter give the set a festive look.
I still find What's the Scoop? to be such a fun Summer stamp set. Every time the design team creates a card using the set it makes me smile. The colors are always so cheery and bright. Jennifer's card is no exception. She stamped the ice creams in white ink on kraft cardstock and then colored them with Copics. Jennifer also used a few stamps from Circle Set II to create a subtle background.

Have a wonderful day celebrating our country's independence! We are headed up to a favorite antique show and then to a friend's for a bbq followed by fireworks.
We have been going to this antique show for the past few years and always find some great things. I didn't photograph our purchases from last year but you can see our 2008 finds here. Last year we bought a horizontal green wall cabinet with 3 glass doors and a few more wire locker baskets. I think there might of been another item or two but that is all that comes to mind right now.

Jennifer used a whole bunch of stamps to create this card for the 4th of July. I wasn't planning on doing another give away but why not? This card screams to be used as a guessing game.
