Sorry for my absence! I'll have a new post tomorrow on why I have been missing in action. I am sure most of you are already in Thanksgiving mode and Halloween seems like it was ages ago. I finally got all the Halloween photos uploaded and enough of them on at least one computer to share.
I'll start with some daytime shots. These were actually from the day before Halloween.
The standing skeleton with shovel at the bone pile is a new addition. We also picked up this angel statue and found a column to put her on. I was concerned about matching the finishes. I literally did a 5 minute acrylic paint job on the column (which was white). It is not a perfect match but you don't even notice.
For those of you who are new to my blog, my husband built this Victorian style hearse. Crazy, huh? We found an old Amish buggy on eBay. It was in bad shape and he removed the buggy top. He then built the new top. The brass coach lights are another eBay purchase. I felt it needed something authentic to dress it up. It is hard to see with the glare on the windows but there is a casket inside.
Here are some night time photos. I wish I could capture the feeling the tiki torches, blue spotlights, fog machines and eerie music give off.
This lovely witch is a new addition as well. Hubby brought her home the day before Halloween.
In this photo you can see the ghost in the attic and the mourning woman in the window on the second floor (right hand side). We also added hanging bats to the soffit on the second floor.
We were greeted with some company late Halloween afternoon to make things a bit more fun around here. First, is the Funeral Director a.k.a my husband.
I landed up doing everyone's makeup which is something I wasn't so sure about. I think for a newbie I did pretty good. I need to edit some of the photos but I wanted to get them posted. Hubby's face was probably the "whitest" out of everyone. I did him first and had more time to play around. I figured once it got dark out he was better off having more makeup on.
Here are all the boys. Once again, the photos need to be edited. They came out pretty bad.
We were also fortunate to have another dear friend reprise her role from last year. I crack up every time I look at these photos. The whole persona she puts on is so completely opposite of anything she is about.
I have no idea who these two guys are...lol. They were driving by as I was taking photos of Sharon. They jumped out of the car to have their photo taken with her. It was pretty funny.
I love this! Your house and yard look fantastic! You did your husbands makeup great too! I love Halloween-wish I could have been there! The last picture is a hoot! Thanks for sharing!

How fun are you guys. Your display is awesome.
Just a question where do you store everything at the end of the season?

We give out candy to about 500 kids. We see at least another 500+ in parents and then people stopping by during the week before Halloween.
Everything is stored in our garage. We have a small second floor space which my Husband packs amazingly well.
