I thought I would see if I could actually post a few gift ideas for the holiday season over the next week or so. Every year I have all these ideas floating in my head but there is never any time for executing them. I have a few projects that the design team has done that will fit right in as well.
The first gift idea is from Jenn Biederman. Jenn made one of these candy boxes last year for Valentine's Day using one of the Logo Stamps. I absolutely fell in love with it! She re-created this box that can be seen in the November issue of Papercrafts.
The logo stamps will fit a 1 3/4" punch and a 1" punch for the inner circle. The punches we have been using are from EK Success. You don't even need to punch the inner circle out. Jenn did this to add some dimension to the outer ring. The box is then wrapped in patterned cardstock and tied off with a pretty coordinating ribbon. I love how Jenn added a little bling to the tree to make it even more festive.
This is a great time of year to find chocolates in pretty colored wrappers. Actually, you can now find them right before all the major holidays. Target is a great place to check for holiday candy. You can fill these boxes with all kinds of colorful candies too. I can see layers of different colored jelly beans. There is a new Easter & St. Patrick's Day Logo in the new stamps section that would be perfect!
If you make homemade holiday candy or chocolates to give as gifts (which are not individually wrapped) you might want to use this same idea on white or kraft colored candy boxes. Make sure you check out the all the logo stamps and coordinating word sets. There are logo stamps for cookies, breads and other yummy treats.
Here is the first candy box that Jenn did last year for Valentine's Day.
Look how great just plain silver wrapped Hershey Kisses look with this combination. Aren't they fabulous?!
Make sure you check back to see the other gift ideas I will be posting. If you haven't already, take a moment to add your email address to receive blog updates. There is also a link in the left hand column to sign up for our newsletters.
Here is one more that I am sneaking in. I had to get the photograph from Jenn. It is hard to tell from the picture but she embossed the logo stamp on this box. The candy this time is Rolo's.
these are sweet jen
