Last Days of Summer Blog Hop

I have quite a few projects to share with you today!

This is such a feel good card from Alice.  The crisp white background, the popping colors and 3D sky make me smile.  Wouldn't you be smiling if this card showed up in your mailbox?

Here is another card that makes me smile.  Courtney keeps whipping up these adorable cards using the little bird from the The Bird House set.  Once again, I am diggin' the clean white background.

The next 2 cards use everyone's favorite set these days...Home Sweet Home.  The set is perfect to use with all the gorgeous papers you have in your stash.  What is even better is that you can probably use up all those scraps you have been holding onto.  Look how pretty Jenn B's card is with those yummy My Mind's Eye papers.

Donna also went with a white background.  I am starting to think I should of showcased all white background cards today.

Look at what clever Jennifer did with this card.  She used the base of the house in Home Sweet Home for her boxed flowers below.  She simply stamped the boxes, then stamped the flowers on top changing their position and cut.  Cute!

Jennifer R. created this beautiful card using the Summer Noteblock and a lot of creativity.  Look at all the little embellishments along the bottom.  The diecut shells, beachy flowers and pearls work perfectly with the waves of the scrunched ribbon and scallopped paper.  Gorgeous!

Joy used two of Paislee Press's stamp designs for her card.  She did a cute vertical border of mini cameras for her card.  It creates a fun background paper.  I am a big fan stamping backgrounds.

I haven't been showing too many layouts these days.  I have a little stock pile from Julie and I need to start posting them.  Julie did a layout using the same two stamp sets as Joy used above.  I love how she stamped the words from The Photographer set inside the Vintage Label Plate stamp.

The final share for today comes from Sharon.  Sharon normally is a scapper.  She does quite a few journals as well.  Recently she has been doing a ton of cards.  It is always fun to see the cards she creates.  I really love the design of this card.  The layering and grouping of the stamps makes for a striking card.  The silver balls framing the sentiment is great too!

It seems a little late to be posting this card from Julie but it is a cute design that can fit any occassion.  Just swap out the sentiment and your good to go.  The colors are yummy and it is nice seeing some of the older stamps getting a little play time!

I really love how Courtney used the Flower Framed Doodle stamp in this next card.  The white card base with the simple sentiment really makes the image pop.  I think using patterned paper for the square background also makes the flower stand out.  Cute idea!

Donna also did a card with a white base which works perfectly with these stamps.  The neutral colors are a nice change for the flower.  The little glossy heart adds that little special touch.

The last card for today is from Joy.  I figured I would stick with the nature theme.  Joy used brush markers directly on the stamp to achieve this watercolor look.  It is a quick and easy technique that gives pretty results.

Here are a few cards using the new stamp release.  Jennifer R. created this awesome card using several of Stephanie's stamp sets.  I love how you can use them all together and keep building away.

Extending Sale

"B" is for Baby, Bears, Bugs & Branch!

Today is day two and the final day of of the new release peeks.  The stamps being shown today are from Stephanie Ackerman!  It is just a handful of images but Stephanie and I have lots more being released in the upcoming months. 

The first set I asked Stephanie to design was a Baby Bear Doodle Frame Set.  The original Doodle Frames were such a hit. 

The first card is from Alice Wertz.  I love the vibrant colors Alice used to color the bear.  The whole stamped image just pops on the pretty patterned papers.  This card is simply yummy!

 

Donna Mikasa used the different boxed words to create separate baby cards for a boy and girl.

 

The next set of stamps are a pair of bears.  Meet Sam & Olive courtesy of Jennifer Roach.  The sentiment is from the Photographer set.

The bears will also work great with the word blocks from the Baby Bear Doodle Frame.

Up next, is a set I requested to coordinate with all the flowers Stephanie did in the last release.  It is a set of 4 bugs...love bugs to be exact.

Jennifer Holmes used the love bug set along with some of the baby word blocks from the Baby Bear Doodle Frame set to create this darling baby book.  Boy, did that seem like a mouth full!

 

The final stamp in to show is a simple little branch.  I thought it would be cute to use the branch with the love bugs and the birds from the last release.

Courtney paired the branch up with the little bird from the Bird House set.  The sentiment is part of the new BBQ set.   

Faith the Chicken and the Curly Bird will also look cute perched on the branch.

Bugs - Congratulations Diana & Tara on being the winners of this set!  I decided to giveaway 2 Love Bug sets since I had so many guesses of "butterflies" as well as "bugs".

Branch - Congratulations Mary Bartolotta!  Once again, there was no guesses for a branch stamp.  I decided to randomly choose one winner out of everyone who played along.

"B" is for Beach, BBQ & Bees

Thanks to everyone who played along guessing the theme of the new stamps over the past few days.  It was fun reading the guesses.

The first two stamp sets I have to share are from Michelle Clement.  Michelle designed a beach chair & bag set.  We paired the chair and bag with 3 sentiments that were written by DT member Jennifer Holmes.  Everyone loved Jennifer's handwriting in the Handwritten Holiday set so much that we asked her to pen a few more sentiments for us.

I love how the above card from Jenn Biederman looks like a framed piece of artwork.  Jenn used a cardstock frame from My Mind's Eye to create her card.  I am always in awe of Jenn's coloring.  She does an amazing job with a set of colored pencils.

This next card is from Alice Wertz.  When I was working on the design of this set with Michelle, I immediately pictured this image stamped on watercolor paper and colored with watercolors.  This is exactly what Alice has done.  I believe she used Distress Inks for her watercolors.  The texture of the paper and the softness of Alice's painting compliments this stamp set so well.

 

The last card using this set is from Donna Mikasa.  Donna has a similar yet very different twist on using this set.  Donna also used watercolor paper for the image and painted it with watercolors but chose to use a light wash over the entire image.  It is a quick way to add color to an image.  My favorite part is how she turned it into a Polaroid.  How fitting!

 

The next set from Michelle is a fun BBQ set filled with over 20 images and sentiments.  Here is a peek of the set in a few cards from the design team.

This is another card from Alice.  You had to know that this set would include a grill.  Alice used the steak stamp on the grill.  One of the other sentiments in the set is "Oh, for goodness steak!"  There is also a cute little shish-kabob stamp you can use.

 

The final card to share today is from Jennifer Roach.  I consider Jennifer the Queen of Embossing Plates/Folders.  She seems to have quite an extensive collection.  I had to laugh when she sent me this card...

Of course there is a citrus slice embossing plate out there and Jennifer owns it...lol.  Isn't it perfect with the lemonade stamp?!  I also think the glittery ice cubes are a great touch.

The last "B" stamp to share today is this bee set.  The set contains two different sized bees that will be a perfect accompaniment to those floral stamps you have in your stash.
