Now for the giveaway! This weekend is Super Bowl XLVI (incase you didn't know...lol). It is a big deal around here. Hubby is not a big sports guy but is a HUGE NY Giants fan. That is his sport and his team. We will be hosting a Super Bowl party on Sunday. Share a recipe you "LOVE" that would be good to serve at a Super Bowl party. You can post a link to the recipe or the actual recipe. I will select two recipes to win a love stamp assortment. One name/recipe will be randomly chosen, the second name will be my favorite recipe posted. You have until tomorrow night Saturday, February 4th at 11:59 pst to leave a comment (recipe).
Here are just a few of the stamps that will be included in the assortment...
Good luck!
Sorry, no new or exciting recipes to share from my end! (I'm a Pringles girl myself!) I do have to comment, though, because the cards today are out of this world cute! Such cute images, such a talented design team!

Cute, cute cards! My 'recipe' is to punch or die cut various size circles in the team colors, add a circular text, stamp a football or add a sticker in the middle. Sandwich a wrapped Godiva flat chocolate between your decorative circle and a plain back circle. Fun and everyone likes chocolate!

Here's a recipe I love. A nice hearty soup that will satisfy you and is super easy to make. This recipe is very close to mine except I use 1 lb ground beef instead of sirloin and leave out the beef boullion cubes. It has enough flavor and salt without the boullion. I also use chopped cabbage because I like bigger bits of cabbage and coleslaw mix kind of dissolves if you cook it too much.
I also add 1/2 cup brown sugar instead of 1/4 but if you don't like things sweet 1/4 is probably a good amount. I like that this dish is a little sweet and savory. So it's up to you. I've made it numerous times. It really is delicious! I hope you try it.
P.S. You could make it in a crock pot but I make it in a big pot on the stove. It doesn't take too long.

Trust me when I say this is delicious, even if it is a weight watcher's recipe. Instead of ground turkey, I use ground beef. I serve it with a dollop of sour cream and tortilla chips to dip.

I know this is pretty much an oldie -- but it IS a goodie. I love this chili cheese dip so much that I pretty much try to eat this only for Superbowl weekend. Great cards, btw.

Here's one of our favorites, which is great for a party like this (my four year old actually wanted it for her birthday too). Kielbasa with peppers and potatoes. I add half an onion in with the Kielbasa at the beginning. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/kielbasa-with-peppers-and-potatoes/detail.aspx

The males in our family are HUGE Giants fans too so we will be cheering them on along with your hubby! Go Giants! One of my favorite recipes is the one below b/c not only is it easy but it's delicios.
SLOW COOKER CHALUPA
1 lb. dry pinto beans
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp. oregano
1 T salt
1 T cumin
1 T garlic salt
1 (28 oz) can tomatoes
1 (4 oz) can drained chopped green chilies
3 lbs pork tenderloin
Flour tortillas
Sour cream
Grated cheddar
Shredded lettuce
Chopped tomatoes
Chopped green onions
Chopped avocados
Chopped black olives
Place beans, garlic, oregano, salt, cumin, garlic salt, tomatoes and chilies in crock pot. Cover with water and cook on high for 1 ½ hours. Add pork and cook for 4-5 more hours on high. Remove pork and shred the meat. Return pork to mixture and cook for 15 minutes. Serve meat on tortillas and dress with condiments.
Isabel’s note: I only used 2 lbs of pork and thought it was sufficient, maybe a little too much.
Paul’s notes:
Agree 2 lbs is plenty for the family. Sometimes if it’s mid-day and I want to do quicker can just cook meat in tomatoes, a little water, and seasoning for 3-4 hours on high heat (it actually cooks pretty quickly) and adding a can (or 2 depending on how much your kids like beans) of canned black beans towards the end.

Cards are terrific!
How about a big pot of chili. yum!
brown ground turkey, onion, jalopeno peppers, carrots (diced), green peppers (diced). add crushed tomatoes, chili powder, cayene pepper, salt & pepper to taste. a touch of grated fresh nutmeg for that sutle suprise taste. simmer for about an hour and you are done. enjoy! stamping sue http://stampingsueinconnecticut.blogspot.com/

Enjoy the game, and thanks for the card inspiration.

I love today's projects! Valentine's Day and heart designs are favorites!
I'm not big on Superbowl myself, but I got in on a pool at work. So now I have to watch it just to see if my numbers win!
This is a fantastic dip recipe that my family has loved for years! Easy and so good with either veggies or chips!
I use dried parsley and dill, and dehydrated minced onion but I'm sure it would be yummy with fresh. Find beau monde in the spices at the grocery store, if you aren't familiar with it.
Beau Monde Dip
1/2 pt. sour cream
1/2 pt. mayonnaise
1 1/2 Tbsp. parsley
1 1/2 Tbsp. minced onion
1 1/2 tsp. beau monde
1 1/2 tsp. dill weed

My DH and I love this dip. We had it at a friend's and had to get the recipe.
BLT Dip
1lb Bacon cooked and crumbled
1 cup sour Cream
1 cup Mayo
1 can diced tomatoes, drained.
Mix ingredients together. Serve with potatoes chips or corn chips

How about some yummy Spinach Cheese Squares?
2 tablespoons butter (or just spray the pan with cooking spray instead)
3 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, defrosted and squeezed dry
1 tablespoon minced onion
Preheat oven to 350F. Place butter or margarine in a 9×13 inch baking dish and melt butter in oven. Remove when melted, approximately 3 minutes. In large mixing bowl, beat eggs well. Mix in flour, milk and baking powder. When the dough is well combined, mix in cheese, spinach, and onion. Spoon mixture into the baking dish with melted butter. Bake for 35 minutes. Let cool 45 minutes then cut into bite-size squares.
Hope you have a fabulous Super Bowl party!!
