Purple Onion Designs: April 2014

I Couldn't Resist...

Sharing these 3 projects with you! I know I already have a post from today with cards. I woke to these in my inbox and felt I couldn't wait. The international girlies were busy finishing these up as I was catching a few zzzz's.

Ok, this first one is a goodie and I mean a goodie. Karin killed it with this card and captured the set as it was designed. I felt that way about Helen & Kelly's pop up cards from yesterday too.

I am so glad that Karin added Rayne from last summer's A Sweet Summer collection to show the versatility of the collections. It will be a lot of fun to mix and match images from the different collections.

The background "scene" stamps are something I have wanted Stacey to do for awhile now. I thought it was about time we tried them. The birch trees work year round and I thought they were a must have for the different collections. I asked Stacey to space them so they could be filled with fun images or stamped off the card like Joy has done here. I also like that you can use the trees on the card vertically or horizontally.

You really have to look at the way that Therese colored these bears. She was able to achieve some great looking furry detail with Prismacolor pencils. You can watch her video to see how she colored them. I have to now go hunting for that Prismacolor sharpener. I didn't know they finally came out with one!

Another stunning pop up card. This one from Kelly also uses one of Karen Burniston's dies. I think this Garden Bench Pop Up die is perfect for all these guys. I like to call this card Bench Party! Don't you just love the paper lanterns?! I am not sure if you can tell but they are all glittery!!
